What is a PCB?

Printed circuit boards (PCBs) physically support electrical components like resistors, processors, and sensors and connect them together with layers of conductive material built into the board, eliminating crowding and the possibility for loose connections. PCBs are found in most manufactured electronics and allow engineers to design complex circuitry into a small and reliable package.

Manufacturing PCBs

We highly recommend using PCBs in manufactured electronic products because they can be made and assembled at low-cost on a large scale, and they are much more reliable than hand-soldered connections. At Kickr, we manufacture and test small production runs using our own in-house PCB fabrication equipment.

After speaking with a lead engineer, we will build you a customized estimate that includes only the necessary services and costs to deliver you a prototype that meets your specific needs.

How can I be certain that my idea remains confidential?

As a cornerstone value of our company, every conversation you have with us is guaranteed confidential. We understand that you may be interested in signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with us prior to consulting about your project for peace of mind. You may request a signed NDA by contacting us through our web form or calling us at (404) 947-5638, and one of our team members will be happy to generate a copy and send it to your email for completion.

Does Kickr Design manufacture products?

Yes, we manufacture products for our clients. Depending on the type, quantity, and materials we can offer many different options for manufacturing your product. Contact us to speak to an engineer about manufacturing your product and we will be happy to find the best option for you.

Does Kickr Design invest or take equity of my product or company?

When you develop a product with Kickr Design, you retain 100% of your company equity and Intellectual Property (IP) throughout the process. We do not currently accept either equity or IP in exchange for any of our product development services.

Do I need to already have drawings, design files, or patent information to start a project?

The only things you need to start a project are an idea and a free consultation appointment! Previous work and project resources (including doodles and napkin sketches) may help us get a better understanding of your product but are not necessary to start a project.
