Principal Product Development Engineer (Mechanical)

New Product Development Expert

Location: In person at Kickr Designs headquarters

Kickr Design is seeking an exceptionally talented, driven, and detail-oriented Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a key technical leader. This is a senior role for someone who thrives on new product development, can juggle multiple concurrent projects with strong organization, and brings creative, rigorous problem-solving to every challenge.

As a Principal ME, you’ll do more than execute your own projects — you’ll help set the technical direction for the team. You’ll lead projects from a technical standpoint, support and mentor junior engineers through design reviews, and delegate work to junior team members as needed to keep projects moving efficiently. You’ll work closely with designers, engineers, clients, and vendors to keep every project on schedule and running smoothly.

This role spans our full portfolio: consumer products, medical devices, and industrial equipment/automation design. Deep knowledge of the new product development process is essential, along with the ability to advise clients on efficient, effective engineering approaches. Medical device experience is a strong plus.
