What is it?
Prototyping a physical product usually means buying tens of thousands of dollars in equipment you’ll use occasionally, or making do with a maker space that was never built for real production. That’s why we created the Product Realization Lab.
It’s an 8,000 square foot shared workshop stocked with the tools and equipment to prototype and manufacture hardware and physical products. That includes 3D printing, laser cutting, wood shop, metal fabrication, CNC and machine shop, fabric-goods capabilities, welding, on-site injection molding and inspection equipment, all built to enable rapid physical product development.
Everything you need to build under one roof
This is not an open maker space. It’s a dedicated, professional workshop shared with Kickr Design engineering staff and opened to a select group of founders and startups for prototyping, pilot production, and commercialization. You’re working in the same space as product design and prototyping experts, which means help is a few steps away when a build gets complicated or challenges arise.
Access starts at $600/month and includes shipping/receiving support for items from full pallets to small supplies, hot-benches (like a hot-desk but for actually building stuff!), plus short-term assembly and inspection spaces.
When you need more room to work, two options scale with you:
- Dedicated workbench and storage: $200/month
- A 250 square foot dedicated work bay with pallet rack: $1,050/month
