What is a PCB?

Printed circuit boards (PCBs) physically support electrical components like resistors, processors, and sensors and connect them together with layers of conductive material built into the board, eliminating crowding and the possibility for loose connections. PCBs are found in most manufactured electronics and allow engineers to design complex circuitry into a small and reliable package.

PCB Design & Layout Optimization

Building a custom PCB begins with the overall design of the circuit for functionality. Our engineers expertly select components for performance and they optimize the shape and size to fit into the required space. For complex circuits our electrical engineers create multi-layer PCBs which allows more components to fit on a single board. Contact us for a free estimate to design your custom PCB!

embedded Firmware

To function properly, many circuits use code installed onto the board itself for instructions. At Kickr, our electrical and software engineers write embedded firmware to control the most simple and complex of electronics including advanced robotics, sensors, wireless, and much more.

Prototyping & Testing

To ensure that your PCBs perform to exacting standards, our engineering team hand-assembles and tests your boards at our location in Atlanta. We also test and debug embedded firmware on your PCB for reliability. Contact us to learn more about our PCB prototyping capabilities.

Manufacturing PCBs

We highly recommend using PCBs in manufactured electronic products because they can be made and assembled at low-cost on a large scale, and they are much more reliable than hand-soldered connections. At Kickr, we manufacture and test small production runs using our own in-house PCB fabrication equipment.
